best place to buy small gold bars?

Ray,

The price of the smaller gold coins on that website add up to about 1200+ per ounce. I am sure they make fine gold coins and such, but the price is higher per ounce than if you were buying gold eagles and other more widely known coins. You can get 1/10 ounce American gold eagles for under $100 bucks easy, and they are considered by many to be the best bullion coins around.

You can score smaller sized old foreign coins such as sovereigns, 10 peso and 20 peso Mexican gold coins for just a few bucks over melt, plus they are widely accepted by dealers all over the world.

You always pay a premium when you buy gold - however, that particular place gives you the price at the exact moment you buy it - just so you know. (spot price + premium)
