BEST PLACE TO BUY A DETECTOR

It is my opinion that the best way to go is to buy from a local dealer if you can find one close. You can see what you are buying and even try it out to see it you like it. Easier when you have a personal contact for warranties, trade ups, etc.

I would second that opinion. A local dealer may cost a little more but they will be there to help with any questions or problems you may have. May also be able to give you some ideas on where to hunt.

What if there are no local dealers? Is there any online dealer you'd recommend?

I will always Reccomend Kellyco, (see the icon above) , however I'm shure there are some other fine dealers here.

I purchased from KellyCo back in the 80's. In fact, I believe they once offered dealerships and I had one. As I recall, I just got the dealership and KellyCo decided to drop all dealerships.

While I would say back then they had about the best deal, I had problems with service. I once returned a set of headphones and never received a replacement or refund. I wrote to them a couple of times and they said they had no record of my return.

I also purchased a Pulse Inductive detector from them and when I tried to order extra coils, etc., they wouldn't even respond.

However, that was nearly 20 years ago and things change (hopefully).

Copper,

THere are lots of online places to by your Fisher. However, if it were me, and you had to buy online I would still get it from Kellyco. There service is quite good now as compaired to what you've experienced in the past. Things do happen from time to time when your dealing with the kind of volume they do. BUT, problems are few and far between with them as a whole.

Good luck.
