there hasn't been a day like that ever, that I've been there for

I hope to kick out some iron like that on our return trip, and maybe a few more keepers too

since we first looked at that field about six years ago, it makes me feel good that all we found waited patiently....now we just have to 'til the end of the week!

:o nice day for sure, have a double rum :headbang:

Wow, they're like buses :icon_thumleft:

Looks like an Artillery kinda day!

Awesome hunt my friend. I been waiting for you to post some good buttons. 8)

I can only dream of finding those down here. :-\

Now those cannon balls are another story. I never really thought about it, but are they as rare as some of the other unbelievable relics you post? :dontknow: I guess what I'm asking is, how do they compare to some of those beautiful gold gilded military buttons you have?

Great party. Looks like you had a good time.

That would get heavy quite quick. 15 plus pounds in your pouch, that's wild.

I want to go to a cannon ball and early military buttons party TOO ! Super Finds Ironpatch ! MaineRelic

Love the ball!! Man, what is your cannonball count since you started hunting? I know that you have a few! :headbang:

It's raining cannon balls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! looks like your party got rained on, that is with cannon balls were those balls shot from a battleship?? do you think that could be a 12 pounder if it had the rusted steel back on it and what era is the site?

Very nice cannon ball. Will you do electrolysis on it? Good hunt and nice buttons as well. Keep us posted if you clean it.

This is what I was told but not sure of the correct spelling.

Royal Stanaries/Stanarys Light Artillery. The person seemed quite sure of himself but very little comes up in a Google search.
