Hey there everyone! I am an avid metal detector and coin roll hunting person. I got a phone call Saturday morning letting me know that my half dollars were ready to be picked up. I picked them up before work and opened ten rolls during my break. These ten rolls yielded 11 silver half dollars. Much to my surprise, this story is going to get much better from here on out. Walking Liberty and Ben Franklin halves are the coin roll hunters dream. Just let me say, I got more than a few of them in two 500 dollar boxes. All in all, I came away with 64 silver halves. Listed below are my exact finds:

- 2 Walking Liberty Half Dollars 1942, 1947
- 7 Benjamin Franklin Half Dollars 1950, 2 1951, 4 1963
- 1 Bicentennial 1976-S Kennedy Silver Proof
- 10 Kennedy 90% Silver Half Dollars all from 1964
- 44 Kennedy 40% Silver Half Dollars 1965-1969

Total = 64 out of 2000 coins

This has been the best return in my life! I want to here your stories so please comment below. Thanks for reading and be sure to check out the pictures! :) ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447623888.952027.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624056.865780.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624154.726932.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624193.247064.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624236.336811.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624291.759206.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624343.054659.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624381.207927.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624424.394865.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624463.909848.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624545.719540.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447624588.489907.jpg

Wow, what a good return on this crh. You have hit a jackpot. I was wondering if these were customer wrapped rolls?

Federal wrapped. Specifically from loomis. I was shocked I've had nothing like this before from fed rolls.

Nice find! My best box was 122 silvers. By the way, they're not fed wrapped or from the fed. All courier companies have their own wrapping facilities and even will work with other companies when low on certain denominations. The fed will usually force feed them new coins as they come out.

Haha oh word good to know @enamel7. The women at the bank were referring to them as federal rolls so you can see how new I am to this XP

And @zero, when I started unrolling a bunch of silvers that's when I started celebrating haha I was hoping no one would notice the beer cans but good eyes! Haha :)

I've noticed over the years that anything in the picture beyond the coins is a source of fun around here.

Congrats again!

Wow great find! Especially interesting it came from a Loomis box. With all the talk about bunk Loomis boxes and how they might sort silver from clad. About to get my first box from Loomis this week.

Well I am ordering 3000 from the bank this time around. From what I read Christmas time is best time to coin roll hunt. I hope to get the first order in two weeks into December and the second order in around Christmas. Let's hope for more silver! And loomis and brinks etc. don't sort from that extent from what I know. I know brinks for sure my friend worked for them but I'm assuming after this that loomis is the same way.

And @Gold Maven keep at it! It does depend where you live sometimes. I live right outside a metropolitan area around Boston and I have never been let down in the few boxes I've picked up. If you aren't around a metropolitan area I suggest driving to the nearest one and investing a ton of money into boxes to make your drive worthwhile but that's just what I would do. Happy hunting! :)
