I need to pick all you guys brains.I recently found a few nice morgan dollas in a cache in an old florida cracker home.House was ready to fall down. They are in pristine shape and I want to have them graded.
My question is with all the grading companies out there, which one is the best and most reputable one and the company most collectors use?I've seen all the companies out there and its confusing.
I want the number one grading company....HELP!!!!!

PCGS, without a doubt the most respected grading company in existence, and their coins fetch the highest prices.

BTW, what coins did you find? What years?

morgans I found were 1881-s,1886 O,1878-S.I also found a franklin proof half and a couple of peace dollars 1922-S & 1928.there were also some other coins too.Kennedy halves and a walker.
Thanks for the info on PCGS

Nice finds!
That 1886-O is worth a bit, and the 1928 Franklin is worth a lot if it has no mint mark. MS-60 is about $600 or so, and doesn't go down much for lower grades.

Post your gradings after you get them graded, I'm curious to know ;D

Do not tell the grading company that you found them metal detecting, etc. they will not grade them. Tell them that they are family heirlooms.

Randy is right PCGS is the most respected, but if the coins have enviromental damage or have been cleaned in any way, the coins will be sent back in a body bag, and you will still have to pay for services. ANACS will grade the coins regardless, but will state on the slab if theres any problems. So its up to you to take a chance on PCGS or ANACS. Hope that helps with your question. Coinman66

I just had a 1895-0 Morgan graded with ANACS, I think they
are a good company to deal with. And, today sent a 1889-CC
Morgan for grading.
They have a two day turn around, that cost $39.00 per coin. Ins. and
postage cost $17.00 dollars.
PCGS may very well be the best, but you will get you coin graded
with ANACS if you send it to them. Where there may be a question with
PCGS.
Which ever way you go. Let us know how they grade
