Hi everyone,

I'm looking to install an app on my Samsung cellphone to record finds on site. I would appreciate any advice as to a good one. Is there a camera app that will also record the location on the photo if I took a pic of the find in situ?

Cheers

Back in the days of my professional portrait photography I had an app that would allow me to take a photo of of an area
I could return to to use as a backdrop for my models. I would take a photo and it would place it on a map with coordinates then I could attach it to driving directions later.

I believe that is also a great tool for treasure hunters.

However be careful that it is not posting to a public site where everyone sees what you”tagged”
That would invite some major competition to your private honey hole.

Here is a link to a review on those type of apps.

Hope this helps

Tect O Trac is a pretty good app. I use it on my bigger sites, but works equally well on small areas too. HH

The regular GPS on an iPhone will do this if you turn on the location settings for it. But like Waterscoop says, be careful posting it because you could inadvertently give up a great location because the data is in the pic.

My CTX GPS app works good. I take the file and convert it to a KML file so I can use it with Google Earth. You can enter find points and edit photos in.
