This was found in a history rich area in Virginia Beach. Could be 20 years old or 200. I have not cleaned it up at my lab yet but these are the preliminary. Thanks for looking!

Nice ring! I'd bet it's closer to 2 years old rather than 20 or 200.

Well you can rule out the 200 with the .925 mark, I've got the feeling it's made in Mexico and the stone is black onyx and not very old.

I think it is black onxy as well. Will work on cleaning up the ofher mark.

Older items generally will just say Sterling in my experience. I was never able to find when .925 seemed to become the more common mark. Supposedly in 1906, but may pieces from the 40's 50's and 60's may still just say Sterling. Usually though if it says .925 its not that old.

Silver will tarnish in the ground and/or get encrusted depending on the ground conditions. Yours is very clean for not having anything done to it, hence, I think it's a recent drop.

ahh yes, I would agree. When I said I had not done anything to it I meant me personally. It was very tarnished, my dad found it and tried to clean it himself.

I key lies in the other stamp. I will give it a proper cleaning when I get the time.
