Tank,
A few years ago I thought I had actually found my first gold coin in a local park.. It came out of the ground all shiny and gold, but it read really high on the VDI so I knew something was wrong.. After closer inspection, what I had found was a fake or a copy of a gold coin (the one with the indian head on it). It was gold plated. :( Man was I disappointed! Oh well, I'm sure we'll both find one sooner or later.
