Tesoro Lobo Super Traq, Garrett Ace 250
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I bought an Ace 250 two weeks ago because with my Lobo ST it seems a bit difficult for me to distinguish trash from treasure and to pinpoint to an area smaller than a football.

I usually go to a dirt overflow parking area and detect when I get a chance. I haven't found much good stuff as it is covered in trash and can slaw just the usual clad and tabs. But with the Ace I can pinpoint accurately and tell the trash from treasure.

Last weekend there was a small Mexican Circus that set up in my hunting grounds which is the classic thing we are supposed to look for, so I couldn't wait for them to pack up the big top and head out. I did a couple recon missions to scout it for ticket selling areas and food booths and had it pretty much figured out. Monday Night I saw them breaking it up and I was ready for a Tuesday mission.

Needless to say, things never work out as planned. I have been pretty busy this week working and selling things on ebay which means packing and shipping boxes and I couldn't get a minute of daylight on Tuesday. For Wednesday I planned ahead and brought all my stuff that needed shipping to work so I could hit the P.O. on my way home. Then go home grab a snack, the Ace and hit the lot. While at home the phone rings and I tell my self "Don't answer it". One ring, two rings, three damn them, the curiosity was too much and I caved in and answered.

It's my friend Liza, she is sick, and her dog goes for surgery Thursday, she is hoping I can take them to the dog park today so they can have a romp around before the three day recooperation from surgery. I explain that I have plans to go MD'n and she throws the whole guilt trip about "only thinking of myself" Women just don't fight fair I tell ya.

Well I put the Ace in the car and head to pick them up. We are at the dog park and I am just not into it. I throw the ball do the Hi, cute dog, blah, blah, blah,
What?
Time to go now?
I race back drop them off head to the lot.
What time is it?
1830 still plenty of light.
Hit the ticket area.
Trash, Trash and more trash.
Bing, bing, pull tab at 4" I dig.
Wait a minute! Yes!!
A bracelet!!!
A quick rub and glance at the clasp and I see a 925 Italy. Into the treasure side of the pouch and move on.
I dug a few more trash holes and decided I needed a new method because I was running out of light.

I thought about it for a bit and realised all the new money would be lying on the surface.
No more digging!
Save time cover ground dig the deep stuff another day.
Found the bleacher area and hit pay dirt.
Coin after coin, an earing, a broken earing, paper money!!

Total time, 1.5 hours
Total cash find $15.48.
The bracelet appears to be plated because there is silvery stuff flaking off.
Would it be stamped 925 if it was plated?
The hoop may be silver I will have to use the LST and descriminate it to see. Other stuff costume jewelry.

Thanks for reading and sorry for the long post.
