For sure G.I.B.! it's nice to get rewarded one day after all the junk I have been digging.
I find that it is somewhat difficult around Atlanta, because there has been so much development since the civil war covering the old battle grounds. Apparently there are still some untouched spots though! thanks for looking.
Nice recoveries you got there. Just keep an eye out for any area being newly developed or leveled and redeveloped and you'll (temporarily) have a new spot to check out. I've gone through Kennesaw from time to time, and as soon (or sooner on some occasions) as the bulldozers quit for the day the spot gets swarmed by detectorists.
I must agree with yall..
I have found Hunting in the Atlanta City limits ( Inside the Perimeter) due to development & Trash.
I've hunted on the North & west sides of the city but been thinking about Decatur lately.
( the South & east sides are outside my comfort zone).
IMO Many of the CW Sites on the North & west Sides are developed with Ritzy Homes & Golf Courses (N Side)
and many Older Neighborhoods ( N ,but W side mostly) Many of these neighborhoods have a long history of their own.
Hunting them would be & is a pain with much trash & Having to pay off "The Boyz in the hood " to watch your ride & still trust them not to Rip you off later. The Dope is plentiful... ( if your into that sort of thing).LOL
Great Finds Pete77
P.S. I,m one of those Bulldozer chasers in Kennesaw .
Davers
