Hi FWT,
Isn't it a special feeling to see gold in your pan!! Congratulations on pulling some of that elusive stuff back out of the ground/water!!!

What brand of sluice, new/used, have you fired it up yet, any pictures of it?? You will find it is an adaptable Tool as you can use it to suck things up or you can re-plumb it to wash things down. You can use it in a stream or you can use it out on dry land by adding water to the location. I recently watched a video where the experimenter carried in long lengths of hose to a stream with a fair down angle on it. He trapped one end under the water high up and then carried the output end down stream. He was able to use the hose to trap and transport the water by gravity and he actually used it to power a small sluice nozzle. Through the same method it could simply be used to bring sufficient water to a site that is a bit inland from a stream or pond, a siphon is a siphon.

Have fun with the new "Toy", 63bkpkr

 very nice dredge ! keep it up you might do better than you think !

Re: Prospecting In NY ANYONE?

Anyone out there who prospects for gold in NY, e-mail me. Maybe get together! Or talk. Living now in central Adirondacks, but moving to Catskills soon. Had experience in dredgeing in CA years ago, but am retired and lots of time. Got the fever again. But it's rough in NY!
