Yesterday I ended my thread with 'tomorrow I will get my Roman Fix'. So I spent 5 hours on a area which has turned up roman stuff early in the season. I did this by myself as Dad was picking up relatives.

Objective met:
7 Scrappy roman bronzes - note how small they are (Got to love the Cortes)
1 Debased Silver Roman Coin
Roman bronze pinhead
Roman fragment of a fibula (Brooch)

Very pleased with the 18th century fob seal, probably more decorative than functional as it only has a lattice work base & no initials.

2x 17th century tokens
Rose farthing cica 1620s
Lead toy cannon
5 lead tokens
1 Medieval Lead cloth seal
Medieval Bronze cauldron foot
Medieval star belt decor
Scrap silver
17th century pimple pewter button

Dad came looking for me but tried else where for 1 hour. He had a couple of buttons. 2 new types of capbadge (WILTS & a Canadian) ;D

A plastic toy figure of??
Roman pot handle for a amphora

A good day :)

Thanks Crusader... Only things I'm hitting on lately are bl**dy beer cans. As soon as I find something worthwhile, I'll be sharing it here.

Nice finds, by the way. ;)

I wish it was that easy in America. :D

Nice digs.

BDD...Kirk

This field is pretty exciting & yes easy because every 250 meters (1 run before turning around) I was averaging 3 keepers. Only on 1 run did I blank.
