Returned to the mystery site in the field next to my in laws. The amount of old coins vs relics and junk is insane. Nothing other than some can slaw by the road, a few rifle/shotgun brass and the coins were dug and all in about a 30’ square area. The coins were as follows:
1857 Flying Eagle
1863, 65, 67, 69, 73x2, 74x2, 76 and 80 IHPs
1869 3 cent nickel
18?? and 1875 Shield Nickels
1884 V Nickel
1838 Seated Dime
1876 Seated Quarter

That’s just insane. I would love to find a seated quarter. Congrats and hope you find many more.

That's an awesome day, congrats

Wow, great finds! That’s the dream, stumble onto a long forgotten site no one else knows about. Keep it up!

Awesome hunt.In all the tears I hunted I only dug one 3 cent nickel.Congrats on that hunt.

I know where you ought to be in the morning. BACK there.

Well done Toast.

That's quite a tribe you've gathered there...nice older ones too! Sounds like a pretty fantastic site. Congrats on the old silvers, and everything else too!

All that awesome coinage in one day and in a small area! Fantastic! Can't wait to see what else you get! Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

Thats some good dirt you been digging in :occasion14:

Nice finds. Looks like you have some key dates too, e.g., 1869 Indian Head. Congrats!
