So today I went to a spot that I thought I cleaned out last year an old paper mill from the early 1800s. Well I couldn't of been more wrong. Working my etrac at a snails pace I got a mixed signal first comes out a nail i stick my pin pointer back in dig down an other two inches and like full moon silver! An 1853 o seated quarter. Then about a foot away in the same hole was an 1857 flying eagle second one found at this site and an 1864 fatty Indian. The black flys are really brutal this year so I decided to leave until I got one last signal and up pops an 1843 large cent! I was shocked that these coins were still there needless to say as soon as it stops raining I'm going back. Hh sorry the pics are bad

That sounds like one awesome hunt. Maybe try the CTX-3030 at that spot with the 17" coil too.

Good day I'd say nice finds

Those coins were waiting for you all winter. Good thing you went back there!

Wow.:headbang: Some great finds there. A shame the flies were so bad. You would have had to drag me out of there with a tow truck if I was finding coins like that.:laughing7:

The seated with the mint mark and the rays on the back was a first but I have found two 1854s quarters and there a lot plainer looking then the 53 .

Any seated quarter is nice, but the 53 is one Beautiful Coin. I have never found one, but I have collected a couple, one of my favorites. Great job!

Love to see the old stuff still coming out of the ground. Great job!
