Turning 80 in New Hampshire
Howdy
I am the FNG (friendly new guy) around here. I have this 1 gram vile here and my goal in life is to fill it completely with gold before my 80th birthday. I just turned 50, ... so for once in my life I may have set a realistic goal for myself, ... perhaps not.
I live in New Hampshire and know there is a vast fortune awaiting me in the northwestern part of the state. I have read everything I can find on-line and even a few books on the subject, but there are still so many questions. Mostly about where to start ..... and I mean where? I am not sure I am correct, but it seems I can sluice in the White Mountain Nation Forest as long as I am not using "powered" equipment. A simple phone call would verify this, but the TW campground must have some sort of deal to work their stretch of the Ammonoosuc river. OF course one needs permission to enter private property to spend the day squating looking at their dirt, but if I had gobs of people banging on my door all the time .. I would tend to answer it with a shotgun in hand.
I am not looking for your "spot", just looking for direction. Are there clubs or organization I can get involved with that have areas for there club members available? Internet serches for such have not really been successfull. The hits I have gotton seem to be old (some very old). I have read on-line posts that say "just go here", but is "here" private, or is OK for anyone just to slop around in the river for the day, .... without the whole shotgun thing happening?
80 approaches
Thanks Brian
