Before and after pic of ring. Need identity please!

I found this ring by old colonial site. It was all cruddy and i started picking off the crust and exposed the lettering which i was blown away! I would love to know how long this ring was in ground and what time frame. Thanks. I cant find markings because i cant pick the underside of ring.

yes it is old.

very hard to tell if it represents a group,
or Just a Persons Inital (s)
it may just be a Victorian C or even G not CH

The script is Elizabethan style.


But the ring looks more like a men's initial ring from the 20th C that is "trying to look old".


It's hard to say without seeing the rest of how the ring is constructed...
