Hello all, new to the site. Dont let my screen name have you think Im arrogant or something, I just think I have a real knack for this. All of it from research on areas, being knowledgable of local history and the machine itself. I was a utility locator on and off since 1997 with a total of 10yrs service. This is where I think I get my ability from.
Anyways so Ive been out four times. First time- alot of trash in a 100acre area that was wooded and freshly cleared for homes. With the exception of a 1913 wheat penny, a copper belt buckle (OLD AS DIRT) and what looked to be a huge OLLLLD D-ring about 5 inches long. Second time AND second best time- was in the inner city at an OLD football field from what looked to be the 50s surrounded by a neighborhood that dated to AT LEAST as early as the 20s and found about $1.00 in clad change, an OLD matchbox car and a 1923 Silver PEACE DOLLAR. NO SH*T!!! Was with my son on his FIRST time with me that day and we only checked the home team sideline and 15yds behind it and on our LAST pass we got the peace dollar! It was neatly holed at the top for a chain. My third time out found a wheat penny and about $2.00 in clad change at a 1950s park JUST south of the city line. And my fourth time out... TODAY...with an inch or so of snow on the ground along a stretch of our main 2 lane divided highway where 3 old houses are abandoned and set to be demolished for a development AND with ONLY being out of the truck for less than 5 minutes on my SECOND HOLE i found a 14K size7 gold band that had hearts making up the structure of the band all the way around. LOL!!!!! IS it this easy? Am I doing my homework THAT good? Am I that good witht he detector or Am I THAT GOOD? Or is it just a run of good luck?
BTW- Im using a BOUNTY HUNTER QUICKDRAW2 (I think is the model name) given to me 2 weeks ago by my GFs father.
