Hello all, it's been a while since I visited the forum. I took a long break from coins and CRH when I started building a deck last summer. Had a hand surgery and deployed overseas so I've been out of the loop for a while. Looking forward to getting back to searching nickels and halves. I'm sure I've missed a lot. It's going to take me a while of reading on the forum to catch up on everyone but I'm glad to be back. I posted a similar thread in the CRH forum so I hope that doesn't tick anyone off lol. Take Care!!! :hello:

Welcome back! Are you still deployed or are you Stateside again? I assume you are in the military and if so, thanks for your' service to this Country and it's people!

Huntsman53, I am back stateside. Got home ten days ago. Thank you for your service as well. I've got eight years active duty and nine years in the national guard now for a total of seventeen years military. I see you're a retired federal employee. I have been employed by the Fed for nine years with the DOJ.

Since you will likely retire from the Military, have you checked to see how that will effect your retirement from the DOJ? I only know what I had to do to get credit for my' military service when I retired which was buy back my' military time by paying into the Federal Retirement System based on what I made in the U.S. Army. It appears that it may be more complicated for you but I don't really know!

It is funny but had one of my wishes came true, then our paths may have crossed! Not more than a year into my' service with the National Weather Service, I wanted more and tried my best to land a job with the Federal Marshall's Service. I felt that I was meant to do Law Enforcement work as I have long had skills of surveillance, noticing when things are not right or something is going on and also because of my skills as a long range shooter and that I have nearly 20-05 long range vision. Although I never got a job with the Federal Marshall's Service due to President Carter's freeze on hiring at the time, I did work with them on some things that I cannot discuss here or elsewhere.

If you don't mind, PM me at your convenience and if you can, provide me with your' cell phone number but if not, then I will provide you mine'. I have something to discuss that has weighed on my mind way too long! It is nothing bad but you will understand why I can't discuss it here, if and when we talk.
