I bought 3 this year all of guys I loved watching. A cal Ripken ball for $1. A 1991 Astros team ball with bagwell, biggio and schilling for $3. Then today a 2003 cubs team ball with Sosa, lofton, zambrano and 23 others for $2. I love them! There going up in my sons room!

This is an area of collecting that I shy away from. There are just too many fakes out there for my liking/experience. Maybe it has to do with my ex- brother in law that used to forge signatures on cards, hats, bats, balls etc. and sell them to unsuspecting people. A real scumbag.

This is an area of collecting anyone should shy away from. If you are looking to just display them then cool, but if you ever want to resell dont, unless you have them authenticated. The autographs look to be in person, but you really cant ever tell. There seems to be a lot of bleeding, may be the marker, or the stopping and starting when writing.

Authenticating them could cost a lot, and as I said, if they are just a display thing then it is not necessary. Either way at the price you purchased them, it wouldn't hurt to get some authentication done.
