It was a very beautiful day here in the south. I hope all were able to get out and enjoy it.
The coin in the top left is a Roman coin. It was minted in 332 AD in Atioch according to what I was able to find out last night. Any idea why a roman coin coin would be in use in colonial or antebellum days ??
The button on the top right has "George IV Standard" on the outer lettering. The inner lettering is " treble gilt" Any help identifiying would be helpful.
The other item I need help with is on the lower right. It has "Valentien & Co. New York" written on it. This was in a are occupied by union soldiers during the war. It is kinda thin. Maybe a box label or something ??
