Moss agate is a fun stone to id. So variable, do an image search for moss agates found in AZ and a lot will have that orangy-yellow. There's textbook classic white/blue/green translucent, a lot of what I've found is a deeper green with brown with minimal blue translucent. Once the green and brown pigmentation gets so dense it's no longer translucent it basically bloodstone. Here's some of my specimens. First 2 are textbook examples, last 2 I had to do a lot of research to classify it. (ignore the metal wire)

thank you it's really crazy that I stumbled upon it. I am a Gemini and have been have a lot of emotional things going on in my life and from what I'm reading it's an emotional healer and stone of the Gemini. I believe things are put in your path at the right moment to guide u or to help you and this little guy was ment for me haha sorry for getting all spiritual but life's crazy and Mother Nature and the land are two things that give us food and air and water and plants and gifts like beautiful stones that just make us feel connected as one and remind us that if we care for the land and it's life it gives us then the land will take care of us. As we say in Hawaii malama the aina and that means take care of the land and the land will take care of you.

I totally believe in the spiritual side of stones. When I was 12 there was a huge corn field behind the apartments we were living in, beyond the cornfields was a wooded area with a beaver pond a friend and I used to hang out at. One day we were supposed to meet there and I was running late so I took off full speed running thru the harvested field. I don't know why I stopped but something stopped me half way across, I took a few steps back and to the side and right on the ground in front of me was a polished green adventurine. The metaphysical properties of that stone are chance and luck. I'm a firm non believer of coincidence, that moment was kindof an eye opener. I can't explain it but certain things make you feel closer to the earth and rocks are definitely one of those things. Hope your agate helps you on your journey :)
As far as how to polish it, not sure of a permanent solution but if you use a mineral oil it certainly wouldn't damage it

If I was keeping these for myself I wouldn't but I'm going to use these in jewelry and they need to have that glossed look if they are going to sell. Unfortunately most people don't care what it is or what's done to it as long as it looks pretty. Take heat treated amethyst for example, anyone using it for reiki wouldn't consider it citrine but it's often sold as such.
