Anyone that can provide any info on this or can point me in a direction where I can learn more about this knife would be appreciated. I cleaned it up the best I could. Thanks for any help!

Nice find. I found a knife similar to that but it was buried with some of my dads old tools.

possibly a momento from some club or organization, with the sailboat, possibly a sailing club. can't figure out the detail on the other side. the head resembles the head on a US peace dollar .i found one similar, but mine just had a set of initials on one side and the date, 1906 on the other side.

Your beautiful Sterling Silver pocket knife was probably made between 1890 and 1910 during the Art Nouveau period since it has the typical woman's head and design of that era. Since it is only a 3 inch knife, I'm thinking it more than likely used as a pocket watch fob.

Neat find :)

Thanks for that info. I did a search of “Art Nouveau sterling silver pen knife” and many of the items that came up bore a strong resemblance. Some very beautiful stuff. The time period sounds about right too, given where it was found. I really wish I could find a photo of it in all it’s glory....Can anyone tell me what the number on it is? Would every knife of the same kind have a it’s own sequential number???

I'm not sure what the number means, but it could be a Maker's Mark or Hallmark. I don't think your knife was made in the USA.
