Yesterday, 10/19/23, I found this beautiful 1847 large cent on a new permission - a potato and corn farm down in the Mahantango Valley, Pennsylvania. This is my first largie with a readable date

, and I'm super stoked to have found it! Now to see what else is there when the corn is harvested.

Yesterday we got permission for this place, my 7th great grandfather's place, the oldest farm in the area, and some massive cornfields. Then a friend of ours acquired several permissions in another county, including a farm bordering a house built in the 1600s! Would love to find my first pre-1900 silver coin, or maybe even a KGIII copper!
