Beat'n the corn
Hi everyone, I've haven't had much time to post lately but I have managed to get out weekly at some local corn fields where there used to be some real old homes. These sites show up on the 1874 maps but as of the 1898 maps where no longer there.
All in all I haven't done too bad with some keeper coins and the largest qty of buttons I've ever dug in a short period. Here's the "keepers" from three differant fields.
Not pictured are some pieces of flat ware spoons, and a thimble that I can't find now
p.s.
The farmers are great and so friendly!
Lots of buttons... one is pewter
1828 large cent slightly bent from the plow...
1865 Indian Head Cent, nice green patina, no corrosion...
A little porcelain ( I think ) doll head figure...
A nice medicine bottle too.
