Found a Bicentennial Eisenhower lying behind some bushes adjacent to the local park. There is a driveway that runs alongside the park. The bushes are located along the drive-- opposite the park. My guess is it's been an area kids use to conceal themselves when they are smoking, drinking, whatever. Found dimes and pennies amongst the Eisenhower. In the park itself, I found a 1937 and two 1955 wheats as well as several quarters and dimes. Also along the drive I found a 11g sterling silver piece of jewelry. Nice 2 hours of detecting. Unfortunately, the Eisenhower is a P mint. If it was an S mint, it would be worth it's weight in silver. HH everyone.

Don't you find it amazing how such a big coin can be lost? Congrats on the Ike. I'd dig them all day. If I could average $1.00 a plug I'd quit my job.

Does look like that Ike has been down a while! :occasion14: I recall a detector club that they put one out with a film cannister under it with prize details.
