That's right, LUDWIG GROSHERZOG VON BADEN coin. Another bucket list find for me. Iv'e been looking the fields forever for this one. Here are the dirty and clean pix followed by a link to my coin. I also got a V nic, button, a couple pieces and lead.
Zach was with me he thought maybe the coin was a watch winder, maybe a watch winder holding a coin, IDK if anyone knows, please chime in cause I need a nap.
Edit/update
Just wanted to throw a little humor in there, I really like this unusual find, I guess I was in a sarcastic mood, I would have really been happier if that date of 1829 had been on a American made coin. The holder is somewhat of a mystery too. The finds are sparce in this beautiful beanfield but old. I found a 1836 Spanish Real at the other end of this field last year.

Such a killer find my man!

WOW, and congrats.

I bet that is a watch fob! My buddy, P@tch, found this one, it is an IHC, that looks like a little watch!

Great digs Brad! You're da man!
Thanks Scrappy Coco,
I was back in the area of this field, about an mile from it in another field. I found two buttons, one is very interesting, it seems like it has a very heavy silver plate on it. Just started the cleaning process. Your another one I was trying to get to these fields. These are all very old, there has to be at least 10,000 acres out there probably double that. best part is it is all soybean (this year)

I thought I freakin commented on this already!!!! Ok here it goes again. Very cool and unique find buddy. Keep on killing those fields my man

Cool finds, I've always wanted to find a coin in a bezel like that.

Leave it to you to find the unusually!
Nice congrats!

I like the oddball finds! They make you think about how they got there. The story this piece could tell!

Thanks, the place nearby was called "the mansion" (really WIF, I'm not kidding)
Yeah like what is the story as to why it's in a bezel?
