Me wife and I are restoring a log house in central Pennsylvania that we believe dates to pre 1830. While diggng some of the clay mortar out of the fireplace to repoint she uncovered these 2 linked beads. They appear to be from some sort of jewellery but what exactly is hard to say. Does anyone have an idea when they would date to? I think they are glass, not real pearls.
