I was posting this over in the White's Forum but thought it should actually be here. I'm left handed and did'nt like the way the Beach Hunter was set up so I'm doing a few modifications. I'm moving the LED's, toggle switch, installed new 10" EXcelerator coil and trying to find waterproof Amphenol military heaphone connector to enable the use of my Grey Ghost Headphones. Here's a few pics of my progress.

9/08/2009 Work:
Got around to doing more on the modification today. Removed LED's, ran wires thru handle, mounted box and relocated toggle switch to box. Didn't have a 4-pair hook-up wire so I had to use two 2-pairs wires. Don't really like using it but can change it out later. Gonna try and mount LED's into box tonight or tomorrow. Here's a few pictures.

Semi-finished! If only I could find a waterproof 164 series Amphenol connector!

Re: HH ID Modification (FINISHED W/Pics)

Look at Amphenol website online and look for an IP-68 connector. That is full water-proof.

Re: HH ID Modification (FINISHED W/Pics)

Thanks Jeric2 for your interest in my connector "quest!" The actual connector I'm trying to find is Amphenol connector in the 164 series type. They are mostly used for marine and military audio speakers and headsets. The IP-68 is not really a part number but rather an "International Protection" code or standard. Below is a link that shows the actual part I'm looking for but can't find. Even if I find one I may be very surprised about the cost of it! LoL I'm sure the military has preferance, and they should. I'm open to other suggestions for a specfic part number if you see one. Thanks

what I meant was that you need an IP-68 rated connector. you can probably look that up on their website

Just thought I'd mention that using amphenol as a keyword on eBay turns up over 300 items. I don't know if other brands would be suitable for the job, or not. There is always DigiKey, or the Amphenol website too.

Think I'm going to use a standard 1/4 plug & jack and try not to drop it in the water! If I find a waterproof plug and jack I'll just change it out. I wanna try my external amplified speaker so as not to have to use those uncomfortable stock headphones. Here's a couple of pics of the speaker amp.
