Not an og (by a long shot) but with the temps we’re experiencing inland, there isn’t a chance in hell I’d be close to a beach, much less water. Maybe my loss (and a sign I’m a wimp).

I'd have agreed with you 35 years ago. But these days I am very intolerant of the cold. Gone are the days of me hunting barefoot on snow.

Turning 58 in March, I just layer up!
And enjoy the splendid isolation of no one else on the beach, but me!

Congratulations on the silver, and other recoveries.
Probably 18"+ of ice under 2 ft of snow.
Unless there's a quick warm up it's going to be late April for open water in my world.
