Up a 3 this morning, out of the house by 3:45. At the beach by 4:45.

Park free in a pay parking area. If your out
by 7:30 - 8:00 am no charge. As I pull in
there is a squad car with two policemen in it.
Sure that they would shag me out, but they said
nothing.

Someone posted about folks getting to the beach
early. On beach just prior to 5 and one fellow
leaving with his detector , another working the water??

Not much, $3.62 clad and this toypedo #15; some
sort of pool toy.

Home just prior to 8AM.

morning newspaper,
Sack out for a few hours.

Up, and decide to hit a local park.

Fun! That is the most important part of any hunt.
Although a few pieces of gold or silver don't hurt once in awhile.

I'm a big believer in early morning hunts. I usually head out about 6 a.m. and get back home by 9. A nice warm shower and coffee as I sit and look over my finds. It don't get much better than that.

I don't know about you but when I come home from a relic dig I'm mud from top to bottom. I've been known to dig a 5 x 6 foot hole maybe 4-6 foot deep and recover 40-60 iron relics.

It's cub time here in the north so one has to always watch out for bears. My wife had one cross the road in front of her yesterday. Momma bear doesn't like people getting between her and her cubs!

Nice finds!! You know it's funny, I have an awful time dragging my rear end out of bed at 6am to go to work during the week, but I have no problem getting up at 3 or 4am to go metal detecting on Saturday mornings either .

Get back out there and find some more!
