I got to organizing the other day and put some frames together of certain sites. This is 100% 'The Chief Site" Over half were found the same weekend, and that doesn't include what Jay-bob found, which was two more than me. This is all within the same 30 feet of now subsided shoreline for about 6 feet out and an average of 16 inches deep to the gray clay. The Folsom base as well as the angostura bases got the attention of tha H.A.S. for a dig in the center of the midden. Nice bunch of folks they are. I especially liked Leeland Patterson. He's forgotten more about lithics than I'll ever know. The second pic is another site I found about a mile away. The wave wash and rain at a low tide washed off a layer of mud and exposed the clam bed. This clam midden hadn't seen daylite in many years. I shot this one today. Enjoy, G.

Sorry, My Bad. This is the frame with the folsom and angustura bases. This Frame is only about 40 % Chief site G.
