Bay Line two-piece

Again, beneath a tree at Riverside Park in Baltimore, I found another button.
This one is a two-piece by Scovill and has the words "BAY LINE" on the front.

Might this be a uniform button for someone who worked the Old Bay Line that operated steamboats out of Baltimore?

I think it's from a railway. The "old bay line" was only a nickname for the steamship, which wouldn't be on a uniform.

Bay Line Railroad is in Florida and is a much newer company. The steamship line had workers that wore uniforms. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltimore_Steam_Packet_Company
