battlefield find

[JOHNNY QUEST]

hello all,
found this detecting in corn field on rev. war battle site. it measures about
1-1/2" in diameter. made of a heavy metal, maybe silver? lead? could a button be this big. I'm stumped, any and all ideas are greatly appreciated!

Could your piece be brass? It shows a nice green patina...

It could be a huge button, a small horse tack rosette, a furniture/household piece decorative item...

Anyway... I have no idea, but would love to see a picture of the other side!

What does the back look like? Anything for a thin piece of leather to slip through. That would make sense for a bridle deocration.

More than likely, comparing it to some things I've found... I would say it is some kind of horse saddle decoration.
