Awesome finds!! That bullet with the hole looks like its been extracted cause it got stuck in the barrel.

Good call Jake,I did not even think about that. :)It was a mystery to me.

now that i look at it the thing in the second pic loks like something to hang a sword or other things on, there was a post about them yesterday i think :)

awesome. I like such stuff

Does the hole go through in the ball?

Good information? Leon! I have found the one with the large crown on it beforet is only about 100 years old. The one with a lion on it is Is a bit older I think .It should be from the battle which was in 1794 but I am just assuming that. It was over a foot in the ground .I was pretty stoked. Thank for looking and happy hunting.

I have had to pull round balls out of my muzzle loader before, and they look exactly like the one in the picture with the hole in it. I have only had to pull them when there was a misfire. There is an attachment that goes on the ramrod with a screw on it, you just slide it down the barrel, screw it into the ball, and pull it out, and it leaves a little screw hole.

Amazing Looking Finds birdman.

Congrats !

The coin is 1940( I wish it was 1040.lol The coins were not related to the battle. The oldest is 1877.I had hoped for a coin from the 1700 s but no luck. Maybe next time.? :) The hole in the musket ball only goes in about an 8th of an inch ,so I guess it was jammed up. Makes you wounder how the fighting was on that very spot!! The guessing is most of the fun.
