Hello All. OK they are probably not bat wings but they are very strange pieces of 1/8 to 3/16-IN thick and 4 to 6-IN long brass. I found them about 100-FT apart at a 1910 home site here in Central FL. The two pieces don't fit so there are more pieces somewhere. There are no engraving clues on them and they are pretty nicked up so I am guessing they are fairly old. Oddly enough they fit my hand well with four fingers in the rounded cutouts and my thumb on top.

Weird huh? Please let me know if you have an idea on these and HHTA.

kind of looks like the decorative ring around an old belly stove
