Baseball medallion found at 1880's home site

I found this Baseball medallion found at 1880's home site a few months back and wanted to see if anyone had anymore info on it. The baseball player is wearing the old baggy type uniform and it has two bats crossed at the top. It looks like the banner at the bottom had some writing on it but i cant make it out. I was thinking cracker jack toy but just not sure. Any info on age or origin woud be much appreciated. Happy hunting and good luck to all.

watch fob. thinner stamped brass with pinkish gold tone. very ornate. Large raised BATTER is superimposed on giant baseball with crossed bats above his head, with a glove & ball at the junction of the bats. Has place beneath his feet for engraving - but this one has not been engraved. Very impressive piece. excellent. 100.00

There is an identical one in the "Ask Mark Parker" section of W&E Treasures. Feb 2009 page 15 titled "Batter Up!"
