My dilemma was this.....
I'm flying to Okinawa on Monday Sept 21, to see my friend who lives there. I have an Excal already packed, but my buddy had to send one of his machines in for a repair and it hasn't returned just yet. As luck has it, he has a back-up Excal.... that he just found out doesn't work either.
Since mail to an APO address can take many many weeks to show up, I gave Bart a ring at Big Boy Hobbies and ordered a new Excal for my buddy. I explained that I was buying a machine to take with me on my trip, and I NEEDED it here by (no later than) Saturday. Mind you, this was yesterday at about 2pm or so.
Wouldn't you know it, that box showed up today at 4pm by UPS. I don't know what he managed to do to get it out in time.... but I'm extremely impressed at how hard he worked to make sure it went out before UPS did a pick up yesterday. And here it is, just a day later, and I'm packing my buddy's new machine today.
