Yea it's been awhile for me folks. And sorry about the pics. I'm having to use cell phone camera as my good camera is on the blink I think. But got chance to do a little hunt on the river a couple days ago. :hello2: Not much came of it as it was very hot and headphones stayed full of sweat :laughing7: But did manage a few finds these three V nickles 1907,1887,and a key 1886! Also have a penny I found I'm still working on that is 1914 but I'm thinking no D mark or at least not able to see one yet and a old weight of some kind that has a circle with a "X" through it.Looks close to some of the bullion weights I've seen. :dontknow: Also found a yadkin ear point and some flakes. Then I got chance to demo a old barn and came up with a Very Cool find that was hidden in the rubble from the old fallen down barn.It is a old cast iron dive helment weighs close to 60lbs. and is in great shape considering the condition of the old barn :laughing7: Only thing I see wrong with it is the face plate is gone.Trying to find more out on it But I think it is a type 2 sneads helment.

Thanks for the reply, don't get me wrong but I had to :laughing9: :laughing9: :laughing9: a little on that one.It weighs 60lbs if you lean over with it your going in the floor unless your King kong! :laughing7: Here is the only site that I can find that talks about the type 2!
http://www.divingheritage.com/swsneadkern.htm
I'm finding out it is the rare type of the three cast iron ones made by sneads.
All I can find that has been sold are the type three they were more abundant, and only one type 1 that I can find that has sold. Here are some type 3 that have sold!

Here is the only type 1 I can find that has sold!$ 2875.00
http://www.cowanauctions.com/past_sales_view_item.asp?itemid=32586
Can't find a type 2 that has sold :dontknow:

It list's the Snead sale at $2026.00 yr 2006. Now taking into account it had a glass. Your helmet is a really cool barn find, way to go! the coins arn't too shabby either. :icon_thumright:

What a great day man, coins, flint, and antiques. I need a day like that. Been hot here too. Take it easy.

One of the most unusual finds here. I reckon it's very collectable.
