Calling this Barley Field 2, as its the second barley field in our area to be harvested (yesterday). I was on my own tonight & this field is nice & close for me to cycle to.

I was working the field as the farmers were taking the bales of straw off the land :)

2 Scrappy Roman Coins
1909 Penny
2 Livery Buttons
Victorian General Service Army Button
Ancient openwork whatzit (sword chape piece?)
Nice part of a silver 17th century thimble with 2 birds either side of a heart (not sure what this symbolises)

Not bad for 3 hours & the stubble is far shorter and softer on this field. So I will be back with team Cru'

Quit calling them "scrappy" Roman coins.
I would give something VERY precious just
to get one of them!!!
Great finds.

Sorry can't do that, as its my pet name for them. Don't worry I get a better one soon (I hope).
