Truth and I hit one of his permission today, it’s an old shell midden that was once part of an old German town but the town property was overtaken by Lake Pontchartrain and the surrounding swamp, what was left was bought up by the railroad.

Truth pulled some nice keepers out on a couple of his prior visits, today all I got was some sort of ornate handle, pictured below.

The following pics show the handle with some other finds from previous hunts, which include a toy 1911 .45 caliber ACP, a boy scout tie clasp, a Washington Parish Fair doubloon, a Methodist church pin, an assortment of lead (mostly modern), a valve stem cap and just under $5.00 in clad coinage to include a Canadian penny.

Thanks for looking, HH take care and may God bless!!! “D”

I love that handle brotha and it’s always great to hunt with you. My back is killing me it takes a lot of dedication to hunt those shells. Congratulations!!

I like that handle as well!!

While waiting for spring here.....
I can recall what might be my lightest recoveries hunt,( well ,two hunts in one day) of a pull tab or two and two (!) memorial cents....

Now , we try to find spots to hunt with expectations of doozies piled up.
Homework /research goes far.
But as long as I top my worst hunt I'm happier than if I didn't.:tongue3:

Meaning .... Great hunt Possum!
That's a fair pile there.
Plus...You didn't have to drag Truth out of there by his heels! L.o.l.

He actually surprised me wanting to hunt in such confined and harsh conditions, to be honest he dragged me out there... LOL Thanks for the kind words, HH, take care and God bless... "D"

A midden (also kitchen midden or shell heap) is an old dump for domestic waste which may consist of animal bone, human excrement, botanical material, mollusc shells, sherds, lithics (especially debitage), and other artifacts and ecofacts associated with past human occupation... "D"
