Went to a new park this morning. After an hour and a half I only had one wheatie and the ground was very hard to dig. There was also some fresh plugs indicating someone had been hunting that area within the last few weeks. Decided to leave and go back to my favorite park which was only 5 minutes away where the soil is more sandy and thus easier digging when it has been as dry as it has been recently.

After about an hour at this second location I had 4 wheaties and a 1940 canadian penny. 10 minutes before the rain started to fall I got a deep iffy signal and was surprised to find a 1902-O Barber Quarter.

Hey nice find,
BBQ's are always fun and a New Orleans is a good mark. Maybe it came up on the Illinois Central line. I've found an 02 and an 02s this year, but not an 02o.

Beauty! Gottta be loving them hunted out grounds!

congrats on the BBQ!

Very sweet quarter!

As long as they still come up there's hope for us all (if you don't get to them first :D)

Beautiful BBQ. You're slaying those parks!!

Joe

Way to go! Those BBQ's seem to be coming up this year. I have more BBQ's than BBD's this year.
Congrats.
