Went to a new park this morning. After an hour and a half I only had one wheatie and the ground was very hard to dig. There was also some fresh plugs indicating someone had been hunting that area within the last few weeks. Decided to leave and go back to my favorite park which was only 5 minutes away where the soil is more sandy and thus easier digging when it has been as dry as it has been recently.
After about an hour at this second location I had 4 wheaties and a 1940 canadian penny. 10 minutes before the rain started to fall I got a deep iffy signal and was surprised to find a 1902-O Barber Quarter.
