Got out to a new site for a couple of hours this morning. I hadn't walked 10 feet when I got my first signal - a solid 80-81 on the ol' DFX - which is almost always a dime. I was a bit disappointed when the depth said only 2". Oh well, a clad dime isn't a horrible start to the day. I cut my plug, and there is my dime. I brush away a little dirt and to my complete surprise I see the words "ONE DIME" staring back at me from the center of the coin. I know I have a Barber or a Seated, so I get out the water and wash it off. 1905-O Barber! (Don't think its the micro-O) Only my 3rd ever Barber (all dimes).

About an hour later I get a solid 17-19 reading. About 4" down I find my first ever V nickel - a 1907. Unfortunately, Arkansas ground (at least around here) is HARD on nickels and pennies, so its in pretty rough shape, but I'll take it.

Looks like I've got a new spot to really hit hard this winter. As far as most sites go, its relatively trash-free. Happy hunting everyone!
