Nice finds,
1800's silver by one year= great.
Concerning what the charm is, I have no idea, but that is latin on one side, though 1 word is an abbreviation an 1 word I don't recognize or is not in my latin dictionary.

eint ob unropi sent'a myniamur

could it be but changed shortened from:

Ejus in obitu nostro prasentia muniamur (I found this phrase, by doing a web search on "prasentia muniamur"

Which would mean "may we be strengthened in his presence." And is a medal of St. Benedict. On my web searching, this article came up about the medal http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/13338a.htm -- sounds like yours.

Nice stuff Rich! Wish I'd gotten out there with ya, but hey, laundry and home cooked meals were my destiny yesterday. Yeah, I had to cook, too.

sweet silver there.

CONGRATS on your finds!

Nice finds! I really like those worn Barbers (and mercs). Still waiting for my first Barber silver for the year.

Joe

Rich, it was great to hunt with you again on Sunday . . . I'm really glad that Barber

Take care!
