Both very cool. WTG Coinstriker. Good to see a fellow Michigander on the main post.

Thanks buddy. I wish I had more people in Northern Michigan to detect with.

I still think that is an old handcuff key.

Thanks Gary, I'm not sure what the key is for. It has writing on it but I can't make it out. Oldest key I have ever found though I know that.

really nice finds i cant wait to get my first

Nice dime !!! I believe the key might be a railroad Padlock Key. Congrats:headbang:

I'm not familiar with Dollarville...where abouts is that?

I agree with P.P.C. It is a railroad switch-lock key. The initials of the RR are stamped at the top. Very nice find!

Thanks for the info. The only keys I have ever found were very modern keys.

Ohh ok...I know where Newberry is, my brother use to live there.

i get up there about once a year for some fishing never thought about detecting up there though but i will definitley bring mine next time

The detecting might actually be very good up there. It's a small town and I doubt they have a huge metal detecting following. Probably a ton of virgin sites to detect.

even more reason to go:occasion14:
