Barbed Wire

First find with my new metal detector, right in my backyard!
I don't really know much about barbed wire and the google searches didn't help much. I did find something that looked similar on ebay. A little help about the value and if this is the type of wire in the link would be appreciated. View attachment photo 2-2.JPGView attachment photo 1.JPG

I also have a few more yards of this hanging around the trunk of a tree, if that makes any difference.

The distance between the spurs is about 6 in.

There are four points on each spur.

Just kidding of course welcome to the hobby & site .

Tho I can't answer ? your out right ; I have seen somewhere a pic , of several strands of wire (for compare.e .son, sorry I cant spell) that tells the type & maybe the time period of use.

Most folk just hate it but if you like it & it came from your yard that's cool.:icon_thumright

I'd check around some more on t net & hopefully you will find what your looking for .

I've got a 10 inch scar on the inside of my right thigh from falling off of a six foot high barb wire fence when I was 12. Brand new wire cut like a razor.

Some type of barbed wire is valuable, some one on here should be able to help you ID and know what the value is. If you get no response try posting it in the "what's it worth" forum. GL. HH!
