So I've been going to several banks in my town, and I must say, it's very refreshing. So far my coin count has slowly gone up to $80 in halfs and $180 in dimes. I look forward to my lunch break so I can drop by a couple banks and see if they have got and halfs, or dollars. So far, I have yet to find any silver, but I am expecting it to happen sometime soon. My main pickup bank has been SunTrust, and they are really friendly, in that they let me look through their dimes now, instead of having to buy them. After I spend $180 I told them it might be a little while until I could unload them, so she said look through these. They are all clear wrappers, and she says she sometimes sees silver in them. We looked through about $250's worth, but no luck. She said she would keep an eye out for any silver that came in, and hold them for me.
But on another nice thing, is I decided to keep a roll of bicentennials, not quite sure why, but I did. I had more than a roll and spent some at a store. A friend saw me and said that they were "rare" which I said that they were not really. But he told me he would buy for a dollar each. He is buying 10 from me tonight. So hey, if I don't get so lucky, maybe I could buy a few halfs!
