Hi all who read this post, later today I am going to bank of america. I am going to ask if I could order halves from them, have an account with them(and a morgage)- Do you think they will order me boxes/bags of coins? Is there a fee? Does anyone on here deal with Bank of America often with ordering coin?

Thanks all for reading and for any responses!!!

I've ordered many boxes of dimes and halves from BOA, no fees. Policies may differ in other areas.

There is a bank that lets you order boxes of coin online and let you pick them up at the bank. I'm thinking its BoA, but not 100% sure about that. I have no idea if its free or not.

I don't have an account with bank of america any more and they still order me any amount of coins when I want. I have a weekly standing order for 1k in halves until I tell them other wise. I also get boxes of dime, quarters, nickels and pennies about every other week. They dont charge me and have had a great relationship with them. I do not dump there. I dump at CHASE. But of course it just depends on the branch.

Went to Bank of America, asked the main person about halves- they have a fee on them, but said they would order me a box with no fee... Going to pick them up wedsnesday.

Hopefully this will be a bank where I can get a box once in a while for free- considering I can get as many boxes as I want from another bank.

Thanks all for the replies!

Almost any bank can order halves , the question is will they , is there a charge, and my favorite....... do they even know they can order halves?

Order coins online? Pretty sure it isn't BofA, but I'd love to know who it is. I did a Google search and it looks like there are a few small banks that do it, but no major players I could find.

I definitely could be wrong. I've been to so many banks in so many towns that my memories have all ran together. I'm not even sure what town this was in, but I still feel pretty certain it was a BoA.

I have ordered from several BOAs and have never heard the F word. I have 2 BOAs in NJ that order me 2 boxes of halves and 2 boxes of dimes every week. I just picked up 4 boxes today from a BOA in PA while there on a road trip, no fee and the teller supervisor said I should feel free to call and order more if I want to.

I would find another local BOA and see if you can find one that won't charge a fee.

your right, there are a few in the area, but this was an experiment, I am not that person who does 8 weekly boxes, moreless 2-3 per month. (all at once)... Just so happens this month is 5 boxes.

I want to know what kind of halves BofA gets compared to my normal 5x10 boxes. Think it may be interesting to get another carrier, but I doubt it.

When I went there, the teller(I think manager) asked another- They still have half dollars? I havent seen one in years!(I picked up $40 in BWR from a teller there yesterday- BICENTENNIALS, AU though)

As to delievey, they say weds, but they do not know when, they told me to come almost at closing because sometimes the coins are dropped off before the bank opens and sometimes minutes before closing.

Like I say, can't hurt to ask. HH all!
