Ground still wet from the rain a few days ago & its bank holiday Monday so we packed our bags & went to the beach to soak up some rays. Hell no! We hit the field in the area close to the Roman Silver.

We kicked ar*e & also removed over 35 plough bits. Heavy work.

Before Lunch:
Dad had the Roman Brooch
I had the shortcross Hammered ;D
2 Romans coins each (1 good one of Crispus to me)

After Lunch
Dad had the nice early Crotal bell & the mystery 1682 silver netherlands coin??

A large Late medieval Bronze Couldron foot.

We went to look at another Fav field of ours to see what condition it was in. Ploughed but to rough to walk on, I tried but picked up a load of Roman Pottery. See second post.

Lordamighty, WHAT A DAY!
Those are just awesome digs.
Is that a British half pennie I see in there??????

Wow, what a bunch of nice finds. Don't know if you know it or not, but the little yellow flower item with the initials P L on it was used by the women in England back at the turn of the last century. The initials stand for Primrose League, and was a standard of theirs in their fight to gain the right to vote. A nice "women's vote" item.
