Found my first Chinese coin today, right here in Baltimore. It is a "Boo Kuang" from the Kwangtung mint and was produced between 1890 and 1908. Not far from the coin came a brass ring that has Chinese characters on it. There were two other rings found, one of silver and the other 10K gold-filled. The gold-filled ring was in the same hole with a '43P war nickel and a Sunday School pin. After digging some modern coins I dug a signal that yielded two cents, one a wheat from the teens and a 1908 Indian head cent; the two coins were buried face-to-face, thus the extra corrosion and toning on the Indian. There were six wheats in total. The cross was found without the Christ figure, definitely not in the hole; it appears to have inlaid wood. The other interesting find that is not pictured is a holed brass disk with the number '10' hand-punched on it and attached by a wire to a very corroded iron key. This was a productive 3-hour hunt and I was never more that 50 feet from where I parked my truck.
