Bought a old canvas nap sack full of fishing plugs for 50 bucks. After about 2 hours untangling and several band aids later was happy with the find. Will look good hanging on a peice of drift wood. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

That is something I'm always on the lookout for. Great score. I think they would look better on a piece of driftwood at my house!

Thanks, as soon as I seen them it reminded me of my grandfather, he lived to plug for bull trout.

Great buy, you could easily make some money on that lot. Nice buy!

How much do you think your plugs are worth?

Looks like some old Heddon's in there, you might check the field and stream site, if I recall they have guy who does that.

I have a little experience with old fishing lures. Several months ago I bought an old tackle box at an auction. There were about a dozen lures similar to these in the box (along with a whole bunch of other stuff). I sold a few of the nicer ones on ebay as a lot. If memory serves I got about $5 each - maybe a little less. As I was researching lures I learned that there are some ridiculously valuable ones. Like so many other things, items in great condition in the original box command higher prices. Wooden lures seem to bring a higher price than plastic ones. Glass eyes are better than painted eyes. Certain makers (like Heddon) are popular. If I had these I would set aside any wooden lures in very good condition (paint intact, no rusty hooks, etc.) with glass eyes that have a maker's name and maybe the lure name printed on them. Look on ebay for those particular lures. You might get lucky and find a really rare one that commands big money. Good luck. Nice score even if you don't have any rare ones. They do make charming decorator items.

Heddon is a real good name. lso check to see if any of them have other names on them. Wood with glass eyes are normally more sought after too. Pflueger is another good one.

I know a bunch about tackle. Most of these I would say would sell for $5 to $20 each. A few may bring more than that. Do any of the ones in picture three top left corner have names? They may be home made, which would make them worth less. An excellent buy.

The first one is a Hellbender. Unless your talking about the one at the very top that you can only see a portion of.

Thanks for all the input. The only one with glass eyes is the heddon and the only other maker that I can make out is Martin. Defiantly a few home made ones.
